We can make you your own permanent UPC barcode for only $25.

  • Registering UPC barcodes costs $750.
  • Registering as a company with the GS1 US organization the company pays $750 to be a GS1 US member. They then assign a UPC prefix, and release the film under that company registration.
  • But most independent artists are only going to release a few films - and paying $750 wipes out all the profit you'd make from your first 100 DVD sales.
Barcodes
  • Film Baby has paid $25,000, and can give you your own unique UPC Barcode for only $25. It will be entirely yours, forever.
  • If you want to do this, you need to be a Film Baby member. I know it's a chicken and the egg thing. How can we be a Film Baby member if we need a UPC code for a dvd that won't be out for 2 months?
  • If you sign up now, give us the information about your dvd, pay the $25, they we can make your UPC barcode now, and you'll be ready-to-go on Film Baby when your dvds get back from the factory. If you're already a Film Baby member, log into the member area and purchase a barcode, and we'll do the rest.
  • Your barcode will be generated instantly and will be available in your member area. We give you a BITMAP graphic file, which you can either place into your album art, or print onto stickers. We don't do the printing for you. We just give you the unique UPC barcode graphic and digits.
  • If all is understood, please submit your DVD to Film Baby first. Then, when done, pay for your $39.99 setup and $25 barcode.
