Sending Us Your Film

Film Baby really hopes you sell thousands of copies of your film, but know it takes a little time to reach those goals. We are able to keep our costs down because we are not warehousing 1000 DVD's from each filmmaker.

• Send just 10 copies of your DVD, the first time. When those are sold, send twice as many as you sent last time. EXAMPLE: First time you send 10. When those sell, send 20. When those sell, send 30. We understand there are exceptions ("Help! We're going to be on Oprah tomorrow!") - so if you have an extreme situation please call/email us for permission first.
• Our goal is to have a 2-3 month supply, so you won't have to go to the post office every week, and we won't have a 100 copies of something that's only selling one copy a month. If you send way too many, (like if you sold 3 copies, then mailed us 100 copies), we may have to return them at your expense after 6 months! So PLEASE follow the guideline, above, to save yourself money.

THE CURSE:

• Every day someone tells us, "But this is gonna be big, man! We're going to sell thousands!" And every time someone sends a ton up front, they don't sell any. It's like a curse. All of our top-sellers always started out by sending just 10 copies up front, and sending more after those sold.

Advice on Shipping:

• You don't need to include any letter, invoice, or info. Just the DVDs themselves. That's all we need. No presskits or photos. These things cost you money and can be better spent getting press. (Though we never complain about chocolate.)
• Don't use expensive express mail unless you're backordered or we have asked. Save the money. We want you to make a profit.
• Up to 20 DVD's can fit into a Flat Rate USPS Priority box!
• If you include a note or a check, please attach it to the DVDs themselves, not hidden somewhere else.
